Brazil: Grupo Petrópolis’ new Uberaba brewery already in operation

With investments topping R$1 bln (US$184 mln), Grupo Petrópolis’ new Uberaba brewery has now started brewing, the Diario do Comercio reported on August 12.

The new facility in the Uberaba municipality in the west of the state of Minas Gerais has already produced its first 110 thousand litres of Itaipava beer.

Works on the brewery started in May 2019. It is Grupo Petrópolis’ largest production facility capable of brewing 9 mln hl of beer annually.

Grupo Petrópolis’ is 100%-owned Brazilian company. It operates seven production facilities across the country.
